Over the past thirty years, Covenant House Alaska has grown from an emergency shelter for kids in crisis to a multitude of services that assist and help our youth to self-sufficiency.On the streets, homeless youth have few choices. Hopelessness. Deprivation. Jail. Or Covenant House.When everyone and everything else in their young lives fails them, Covenant House Alaska is here to save them from the streets, with unconditional love and a door that’s open 24/7.Through our programs, services and staff, we provide the food, shelter and care homeless youth desperately need right now, as well as the support and life skills they need to put their lives on the right track down the road.Our Mission Statement:We who recognize God’s providence and fidelity to His people are dedicated to living out his covenant among ourselves and those children we serve, with absolute respect and unconditional love. That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street, and to protect and safeguard all children. Just as Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God’s presence among His people, so our efforts together in the covenant community are a visible sign that effects the presence of God working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids.
