Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Communications Lead will execute marketing and communications strategies, workstreams, and content development efforts
  • Develop marketing materials, oversee content development projects, and project manage complex workstreams
  • Collaborate with aiEDU's funders and partners to align marketing, communications, and content strategies
  • Achieve organization-wide MarCom alignment, including developing on-brand materials for presentations and meetings and supporting other teams with MarCom best practices
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies using detailed activity reports across channels
  • Shape and amplify aiEDU's narrative and impact
  • Digital Marketing and Content Creation: Market aiEDU's products, services, and events; product and curricular launches; research releases and reports; advocacy milestones and policy moments; events (e.g., AI Literacy Day, conferences, convenings)
  • Video & Multimedia Oversight: Oversee end-to-end production of aiEDU Studios content; ensure content is high-quality, on-brand, and aligned with priorities
  • Create content across channels (LinkedIn, Substack, web copy, landing pages, blogs, newsletters, press kits, one-pagers) and maintain editorial calendars, production timelines, and content workflows
  • Communications & Media Relations: Media & External Communications; distribute advisories, briefing materials, rapid response materials; prepare media activity reports; maintain media lists
  • Partner & Funder Communications: Shape co-branded communications and shared storytelling with partners
  • Internal Communications: Develop internal communications to keep staff informed and aligned; create centralized MarCom materials for staff
  • Executive & Advocacy Support: Draft talking points, briefs, and background materials for presentations, panels, advocacy meetings, policy conversations, and partner/funder engagements
  • Listening & Research: Monitor media, policy, and education conversations; flag opportunities for aiEDU; share insights to inform strategy

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or content development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience executing multi-channel communications campaigns with demonstrated proof of outcomes
  • Comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strategic, collaborative and creative thinker who can adapt and prioritize moment to moment
  • Working knowledge (not necessarily technical) about artificial intelligence and its intersection with the policy, ethical, workforce, and education landscapes
  • Proficient in the use of communications & marketing tools, such as Mailchimp, Airtable, Video Editing, MuckRack, etc.
