Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Direct the governance, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Airport's digital ecosystem, including the public website, digital platforms, system integrations, Digital Asset Management (DAM), email marketing systems, and related technologies to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Lead digital governance, compliance, and risk management efforts by ensuring adherence to cybersecurity requirements, privacy laws, ADA/Section 508 and DAIS accessibility standards, departmental policies, and City requirements; coordinate Cyber Risk Assessments (CRAs), accessibility audits, quality assurance reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee enterprise digital infrastructure and marketing technology operations, including SaaS platforms, vendor management, contracts, licensing, system integrations, APIs, analytics platforms, e-commerce systems, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, procedures, standards, workflows, governance guidelines, and technical documentation to support consistent, compliant, and efficient digital operations.
  • Lead digital performance strategy and optimization initiatives by overseeing SEO/AEO, analytics, user behavior analysis, competitive benchmarking, campaign measurement, and digital improvement efforts to enhance visibility, customer experience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain performance measurement frameworks, including dashboards, reporting tools, tracking standards, tagging strategies, A/B testing, and analytics processes to evaluate digital channels, campaigns, and customer engagement.
  • Analyze digital marketing performance, emerging trends, and technology capabilities to provide data-driven recommendations for paid media, content strategy, digital investments, and process improvements.
  • Manage digital program planning, resource allocation, and operational priorities by coordinating workflows, maintaining project backlogs, monitoring budgets and expenditures, evaluating vendor performance, and adjusting plans to meet evolving departmental needs.
  • Ensure effective administration of digital contracts, vendors, and service agreements by monitoring performance, compliance, service level agreements (SLAs), procurement requirements, and technology support activities.
  • Prepare operational, analytical, financial, and administrative reports, memoranda, and technical summaries to support leadership decision-making, oversight activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; AND
  • Experience: Four (4) years of professional-level experience in digital marketing, digital communications, web operations, digital product management, or a closely related field involving the administration, management, and optimization of marketing technologies, digital platforms, websites, digital services, or content management systems.
  • Substitution: Qualifying experience as described above may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis for up to two (2) years. (One year of work experience is equal to 30 semester or 45 quarter units).
  • One-year full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above 40 hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
  • Note: Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.

Preferred

  • Four (4) or more years of experience implementing and managing digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4, enterprise dashboards), including tag management, tracking strategies, and performance reporting.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience developing and implementing digital optimization strategies, including search engine optimization (SEO), answer engine optimization (AEO), user behavior analysis, competitive benchmarking, digital analytics, and performance optimization.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience managing website operations, including content management systems (CMS), web hosting environments, deployment processes, version control, website performance monitoring, and related web technologies.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience overseeing complex digital ecosystems, including public websites, SaaS platforms, content systems, and integrations.
