Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management
  • Create, schedule, and manage social media posts promoting TN Local Food educational initiatives, community updates, fundraising efforts, and events
  • Develop engaging content (graphics, captions, reels, stories, etc.) across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages as needed.
  • Newsletter Development
  • Design and distribute weekly newsletters via Mailchimp.
  • Coordinate content, event updates, and community highlights.
  • Event Communication Support
  • Attend in-person TN Local Food events in Middle Tennessee (as needed) to capture live content (photos, videos, posts).
  • Assist with real-time coverage and post-event recaps.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Strong experience in Canva or other graphic design applications.
  • Proficiency in Mailchimp or similar newsletter/email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative eye for content creation (basic photography or video skills a plus).
  • Must live in Middle Tennessee and be available for in-person events as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience or interest in the agricultural/food systems space is a bonus, but not required.
  • Basic photography or video skills are a plus.
