Job Description

Responsibilities

  • This position provides administrative and technical support for department processes; supports the implementation of the Agency’s communications plan; manages agency social media; writes and distributes agency newsletters; and serves as point of contact for general inquiries from the public.

Requirements

  • Degree must be in the area of study: Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations or English plus the following combinations of education and work experience will be considered:
  • Bachelor’s degree in field reference above plus two (2) years of professional experience in marketing and/or communications, graphic design, basic video production/editing, copywriting; and digital marketing campaigns; or
  • Associate of Arts degree in field reference above plus four (4) years of professional experience in marketing and/or communications, graphic design, basic video production and editing, copywriting; and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal, written, editing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a solid understanding of effective marketing techniques.
  • Experience in advertising/marketing and digital marketing.
  • Background in communication principles, media, and public relations techniques. Social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
  • Background in website management.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in graphic design and video filming/editing.
  • Background in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Advertising, CMS, and email marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of software like Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office.
  • Background in accessibility (both checking documents and making new documents accessible) and ADA compliance software.
  • Ability to work independently, managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Proven ability to create effective communication strategies that consider channels, audiences, messages and feedback mechanisms.
