Job Summary

This role drives business development by planning and executing client-facing events across practice groups, coordinating pitches and proposals, and conducting market research to identify opportunities. The candidate will partner with attorneys and internal teams to strengthen relationships and support revenue growth while managing multiple initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support either the Corporate, Tax, and Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice groups or the Litigation, Digital Assets, Labor & Employment, Bankruptcy, and Government Strategies & Controversies practice groups.
  • Lead the planning and execution of client-facing events and attorney speaking engagements, including roundtables, CLE programs, conferences, sponsorships, and client appreciation events.
  • Develop event strategies aligned with practice priorities to strengthen client relationships and support revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to prepare pitches, proposals, presentations, and other materials for client meetings and new business opportunities.
  • Support legal directory submissions, awards, and rankings by coordinating deadlines, drafting content, and gathering supporting information.
  • Conduct market, client, and competitive research to identify business development opportunities and inform strategic outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of marketing and business development experience in a professional services environment; prior law firm experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing professional events from concept through execution.
  • Strong writing, communication, project management, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while working effectively with attorneys and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client service mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot is a plus.
