Summary:
This position is responsible for providing management of Social Work Team Leaders, assists the Social Work Director with ongoing budget preparation, and provides management of performance improvement initiatives, EPIC productivity reports and department committees. This position is also responsible for effectively planning, developing and evaluating ongoing social workers performance and workload issues. This position will assist with scheduling of social workers at Dallas and Legacy to ensure adequate coverage for all clinical and community responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and manage social work clinical performance and workload assignments.
  • Provide supervision of staff, including quarterly meetings w/ direct reports, PEAC updates, & completing annual PEAC reviews. Make recommendations to director regarding personnel actions. Provide guidance, coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Responsible for management of performance improvement initiatives including maintaining annual department productivity and assisting with the development of departmental process improvement tools. Monitors changes in practice policies that impact clinical outcomes.
  • Assist Director of Social Work with departmental readiness initiatives (Joint Commission, Code Yellow, etc.) Assist Director of Social Work in development of action plans to address areas for improvement.
  • Assist director with annual budget preparation by active participation in the LBP process and exploring and gathering staff budget requests prior to the annual budget process
  • Investigate potential new programs and patient resources

At least 3 years job category-specific experience Required
EDUCATION
Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) Required
