Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute integrated comms strategies for our software business and the evolution of our platform story.
  • Support executive thought leadership including intake calls, pitch development, prep and on-site support at events and conferences, social media.
  • Draft and support press releases, Q&As, talking points, and executive briefing materials; contribute to shaping media strategies.
  • Engage with media, handle urgent media requests, staff interviews, and push/pitch FICO news.
  • Support content creation, including blog posts and executive bylines, and content pipeline management.
  • Assist in managing external PR agency projects and deadlines, delegating appropriately.
  • Secure, coordinate, prepare spokespeople for, and staff executive interviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regions — including product, analytics, legal, and marketing — to gather information and ensure accurate media messaging.
  • Support partner announcements and advise on external amplification.
  • Support awards programs and draft award submissions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or extensive work experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications — preferably in B2B tech and/or financial services.
  • Strong writing skills. This role lives in draft work — press releases, strategy documents, memos, pitches, and talking points — with the ability to simplify complex topics and move seamlessly between technical, business, and consumer narratives.
  • Proven media strategy development.
  • You've shaped and executed integrated media campaigns — pitching angles that stick, staffing interviews effectively, and knowing how reporters across financial, technology, and business outlets actually work.
  • Confidence tailoring strategies by audience. B2B and B2C media strategies look nothing alike, and you adjust your messaging, platforms, and approach accordingly without losing the core narrative.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to grow and take ownership of projects.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple drafts, deadlines, and stakeholders in parallel.
  • Comfortable working across teams and leadership styles. You engage senior leaders with strategic confidence, influence key decisions through stakeholder education, and work with humility and hands-on ownership across product, legal, finance, and marketing teams — each with different priorities and communication styles.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth settings, balancing multiple priorities with agility and consistently delivering results amid shifting demands.

Benefits

  • An inclusive culture strongly reflecting our core values: Act Like an Owner, Delight Our Customers and Earn the Respect of Others.
  • The opportunity to make an impact and develop professionally by leveraging your unique strengths and participating in valuable learning experiences.
  • Highly competitive compensation, benefits and rewards programs that encourage you to bring your best every day and be recognized for doing so.
  • An engaging, people-first work environment offering work/life balance, employee resource groups, and social events to promote interaction and camaraderie.
