  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to align offers, assets, and timing
  • Develop and test segmentation, messaging, and testing plans to continuously improve results

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly email and SMS planning with clients. Build and maintain marketing calendars covering product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and lifecycle priorities.
  • Lead regular client meetings to review results, agree on upcoming work, and resolve gaps in offers, inventory, assets, or approvals before they affect the send schedule.
  • Develop campaign concepts and recommend offers, product bundles, and A/B tests. Coordinate with client teams to confirm pricing, discount codes, stock, and product availability.
  • Write email and SMS copy, including subject lines, preview text, product messaging, calls to action, and test variations. Adapt your writing to each client's voice.
  • Build, QA, segment, schedule, and send email and SMS campaigns. Source approved product information, links, and existing assets from client websites, Shopify, and creative teams.
  • Build and maintain customer segments using purchase history, engagement, product ownership, and lifecycle stage. Keep targeting and exclusions accurate as customer data changes.
  • Audit, build, and optimize automated flows, including welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, review requests, replenishment, and win-back. Keep Shopify-triggered and review-platform emails consistent with the customer journey.
  • Coordinate localized campaigns and flows across markets, including translation review, market-specific offers, links, and send timing.
  • Brief designers on email asset needs and manage feedback and approvals. Keep campaign content aligned with the approved offer when plans change.
  • Run a testing roadmap across messaging, offers, segmentation, cadence, and flows. Document results and use them to improve future campaigns.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in email, SMS, or lifecycle marketing, with experience supporting e-commerce brands.
  • You're comfortable owning both strategy and execution. You've built campaigns and automated flows yourself, not just handed off briefs.
  • You have hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email and SMS platform, and you're comfortable working with Shopify, customer data, segments, and event-based triggers.
  • You're a strong copywriter who can make product details and promotions clear, useful, and true to a brand's voice.
  • You understand how campaigns and automated flows work together to support conversion, repeat purchases, and retention.
  • You know how to interpret performance data, design useful A/B tests, and distinguish a promising result from one that needs more evidence.
  • You're organized and detail-oriented. You catch the wrong link, mismatched discount, missing exclusion, or out-of-stock product before a message goes out.
  • You're proactive about getting the information and approvals you need, and you communicate clearly when a dependency puts a deadline at risk.
  • You're an excellent communicator and collaborator, comfortable presenting recommendations and results directly to clients.

Preferred

  • Bonus: Experience in an agency environment or managing localized email and SMS programs across multiple markets.
