Responsibilities

• Produce and publish new content in a creative way
• Liaise with in-house team members to maintain and update current site pages
• Oversee layout (images, graphics, videos and artwork)
• Check content for accuracy
• Proofread and edit material
• Collaborate with City Staff to improve article presentation
• Use SEO and social media
• Ensure content is up-to-date
• Comply with copyright and privacy regulations
• Monitor website's traffic to measure popularity

Requirements

• Current enrollment in college coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development or a related field.
• Familiarity with website and content management systems.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, software applications and basic network and system security concepts.
• Familiarity with hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Valid driver's license required.
