Job Description

Responsibilities - Monitor current activity across all social platforms with a focus on global audiences and platforms - Collaborate with broadcast production, marketing and social media to review and fulfill social media requests from internal departments including but not limited to People & Culture, Marketing, Sales, Community Relations and Corporate Communications - Build a strong familiarity and understanding of Thunder culture and assist with social media strategy for entertainment groups such as the Thunder Girls, Rumble, Thunder Drummers, etc. - Help identify new opportunities to use the Thunder brand to create effective, measurable outreach programs when it comes to social media and Thunder platforms - Pitch social media content ideas across all platforms including X, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat - Help gather video/photo content at Thunder games, community events and other Thunder-related functions - Assist with social media content creation by writing copy and publishing posts across all Oklahoma City Thunder social media channels - Perform various administrative support tasks - Participate in company-scheduled intern program events - Perform other duties as assigned Requirements - Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive course credit for the internship - Student pursuing a degree in marketing, digital media, or communications preferred - Experience with DSLR camera preferred - Experience with Adobe premiere or similar video editing software preferred - Bi-lingual students are highly preferred, especially with fluency in Spanish - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel - Self-starter who also enjoys team environment collaboration - Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication as well as strong listening skills - Dependability, with the ability to commit to the internship for a full semester Preferred - None listed Benefits - program perks include paid downtown parking and tickets to a Thunder home game during the season! - professional development workshops, networking opportunities, resume reviews, and other activities designed to enrich their experience
