Job Summary

Support the Koniag Government Services MarCom team as a Marketing & Communications Intern, handling content creation, social posting, events, and admin tasks.

  • Own content creation & updates across social, blogs, intranet, and website.
  • Must-have: Currently enrolled in a Marketing/Communications/PR program with strong writing and AP Style familiarity.
  • Standout: Remote internship with exposure to government contracting and CMS/Adobe tools.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Management: Draft and review content for social media (LinkedIn), blogs, corporate Intranet, and website updates.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: Update and post content and monitor engagement
  • Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of special events, webinars, and virtual or in-person outreach activities.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain marketing supply inventory, organize digital assets, and assist with general office tasks.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Microsoft SharePoint highly desired. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign) or CMS platforms (WordPress) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of AP Style preferred. Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Creativity: A creative eye for design, photography, or videography is highly valued.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
