Job Summary

Own the center's admissions growth by building market awareness, strengthening physician relations, and collaborating with administrators and nursing to optimize service levels and payer revenue.

  • Growth Strategy: drive census and quality mix through targeted market development and partnerships with health care targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: align marketing with clinical services, operations, and payer strategies.
  • Operational Impact: monitor payer sources and environment to support revenue and quality goals.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Objective
  • Responsible to build and grow census and quality mix by developing the market and providing prospective patients and/or responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance to choosing the nursing center.
  • Regularly and customarily spends majority of his/her time engaged in growing admissions.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the centers products, services, capabilities and physician relations
  • Takes active role in morning Kick-Off Meeting
  • Meets weekly with Administrator/department heads to discuss marketing issues
  • Meets regularly with nursing to discuss clinical service levels
  • Evaluates center physical environment through weekly rounds and discusses with Administrator
  • Maintains an educated understanding of all payer sources and their impact on revenue.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, health care or related business field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years direct sales experience targeted to physicians, hospital personnel and case managers preferred.
  • Proven success in personally developing referrals for a medical product from health care target markets (physicians, hospitals and case managers).
  • Evidence of a local referral network from which to develop referrals.
  • Professional image in both appearance and behavior, exhibiting high self-confidence, enthusiasm, assertiveness and a desire to succeed.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to establish working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Experience with local community groups preferred.
  • Presents professional image through appearance, behavior and speech.
  • Should be comfortable working with Barnes Jewish hospital and or have experience with their account
