Responsibilities

• Build the social strategy and brand voice from the ground up
• Define how the company shows up across platforms
• Create a clear point of view, tone and creative identity for the brand
• Build and lead the social team
• Develop original formats, recurring concepts and social franchises
• Identify cultural moments, conversations and trends the brand should participate in
• Create a system for moving quickly from idea to execution
• Partner closely with leadership, creative, product and growth
• Establish what success looks like across reach, engagement, audience growth and brand relevance
• Stay close to the work while building a team that can scale with the company

Requirements

• Proven experience building or significantly growing a social presence for a technology company, creator led company, media business or internet native brand
• A strong understanding of social platforms, internet culture, creators and what drives conversation online
• Experience developing a distinct brand voice rather than simply managing an existing one
• Strong creative judgment and the ability to recognize a great idea quickly
• Experience building and managing teams
• Comfortable working in a fast moving environment where there is significant room to shape the function
• Someone who wants to build, not just maintain or lead
