Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution to grow our retail vertical and location base across all regions by partnering with sales and operations teams to close business
• Open and win deals in key national accounts within the retail vertical while co-selling alongside regional sellers on high-priority accounts
• Ensure vertically-oriented value proposition is strong and establish vertical-standard commercial structures and deal terms
• Scale the Metropolis Recognition Platform by creating opportunities for our newest technology to thrive within the retail vertical
• Build a strong partnership with product leaders to translate customer input into product-market fit and drive actual impact from our products
• Collaborate cross-functionally across product, marketing, sales, and operations to develop vertical solutions and set high accountability standards
• Scale retail B2B marketing initiatives, trade-press coverage, and vertical conference presence at major conventions and communities to serve as the leading voice of the vertical
• Develop strategic partnerships with key consultants, advisors, vertical-specific channel partners, and influencing bodies to build a strong network
• Co-lead the unified product and service roadmap for full vertical offerings, incorporating validation strategies, wayfinding solutions, and biometric integrations
• Partner with the data team to establish growth reporting frameworks and dashboards, while driving thought leadership in industry forums to fuel top-of-funnel pipeline

Requirements

• 15+ years in the retail industry segment with proven commercial growth leadership
• Strong background in strategy, business development, partnerships, P&L management, and a track record of winning key national accounts
• Extensive contacts, respected relationships, and an established network of vertical-specific partners across the retail industry
• Skilled in financial modeling, structuring vertical-standard commercial deal terms, data-driven decision-making, and market analysis
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, partner closely with product leaders to align customer input to product-market fit, and drive organizational alignment
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leveraging AI platforms and data-driven tools to accelerate commercial growth, optimize pipeline performance, and scale vertical sales strategies

• The anticipated base salary for this position is $200,000.00 USD to $230,000.00 USD annually.
