Job Summary

Own and lead JPMorganChase's strategic communications programs to elevate impact storytelling with policymakers, media, employees and key stakeholders across earned, owned, and thought leadership channels.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify opportunities to elevate JPMorganChase’s impact story with policymakers, opinion leaders, media, employees, and other priority stakeholders.
  • Effectively translate complex programs, policy priorities, and business initiatives into compelling messages for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaboratively partner with teams across Corporate Responsibility, lines of business, marketing, and communications teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Consistently oversee high-quality communications plans across earned, owned, thought leadership, executive, and paid channels.
  • Thoughtfully advise senior leaders on messaging, stakeholder engagement, reputational considerations, and communications opportunities.
  • Actively manage communications for strategic initiatives within the broader firmwide impact narrative.
  • Clearly establish priorities, expectations, and operating rhythms for a team of communicators supporting impact and strategic initiative workstreams.
  • Regularly assess communications performance, stakeholder feedback, and external context to refine strategy and improve outcomes. Confidently represent the communications function in cross-functional forums, helping drive decisions and maintain momentum across complex workstreams.
  • Successfully build, mentor, and support a high-performing team, balancing strategic direction with hands-on guidance and accountability.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, or related field, ideally within a large, complex organization.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Strong experience in both internal and external communications, including media relations and policy communications.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of advancing business and policy goals through communications.
  • Experience advising senior executives and managing high-profile initiatives.
  • Experience working in Washington, D.C. or with policymakers and government stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree required
