Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an annual grants strategy aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals
  • Research, identify, and evaluate prospective funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive grants calendar, including deadlines, submissions, reporting requirements, and stewardship activities
  • Collaborate with leadership and program staff to align funding requests with organizational needs, budgets, and program outcomes
  • Monitor trends in philanthropy, government funding, and nonprofit best practices to identify emerging opportunities
  • Write, prepare, and submit compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate cross-departmental input to ensure proposals accurately reflect program goals, impact data, and financial information
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, guidelines, and deadlines
  • Manage post-award reporting, including impact reports, financial reports, and grant renewals
  • Maintain accurate records within donor and grants management systems
