Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to-market owner for categories, translating merchant assortment strategies and financial objectives into compelling, customer-facing plans.
  • Define category positioning, customer value propositions, and key storytelling moments in the GTM calendar by prioritizing top category opportunities, and collaborate with Merchandising to select priority products, services, and themes for the year.
  • Drive GTM activation across all channels by aligning execution with strategy for site, app, marketing, promotions, and stores, and quickly address and resolve deviations from GTM plans as new factors arise.
  • Lead seasonal planning by highlighting key customer and market moments, setting full-funnel promotional strategies, and aligning merchants, marketing, Merchandising, and Analytics teams to prioritize and execute promotions.
  • Plan and launch micro-holidays and targeted themes while maintaining consistent offers and messaging across all channels.
  • Advocate for category and GTM priorities, maximizing the effectiveness and ROI of marketing and promotional investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in go-to-market planning, category marketing, retail marketing, or merchandising-adjacent roles.
  • Experience with omnichannel retail environments, including eCommerce and brick-and-mortar.
  • Familiarity with retail financials, including sales, margin, inventory, and promotional economics.

Preferred

  • Prior experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a retail or eCommerce environment.
  • Ability to forecast impact of promotions and facilitate proper prioritization with Merchant and Analytics teams.
