Job Summary

Own and accelerate global Aquatics growth by unifying a complex multi-brand portfolio, reigniting demand, and building an integrated omnichannel strategy to reverse decline and deliver profitable expansion.

  • Lead a One Global Aquatics operating model, breaking silos and sharing best practices across regions.
  • Define and execute a multi-year growth plan, prioritizing category leadership for Tetra and portfolio scalability including GloFish.
  • Transform the consumer experience and ecommerce to grow new households, improve retention, and lift lifetime value.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Set and Deliver the Global Growth Agenda
  • Define and execute a credible, multi-year global growth strategy to reverse decline and deliver sustainable revenue, profit, and market share growth
  • Reposition Aquatics as a growing, vibrant category, attracting new households and deepening engagement with existing users
  • Establish clear global priorities while enabling strong regional execution
  • 2. Reignite Category Demand & Consumer Relevance
  • Lead the effort to recruit new households by clearly articulating the emotional and developmental benefits of fish as pets, especially for families with children
  • Transform the end-to-end consumer experience to make fishkeeping simple, seamless, and rewarding, improving retention and lifetime value
  • Build a deep, actionable understanding of consumer, shopper, and category insights to fuel innovation and growth
  • 3. Elevate Brand Power and Communication
  • Re-establish Tetra as the undisputed global category leader, with clear, compelling communication of its superiority and benefits
  • Define the role of each brand within a focused portfolio, including scaling the disruptive potential of GloFish
  • Develop and deploy impactful, modern, and efficient brand-building strategies across markets and channels
  • 4. Lead Portfolio Focus and Strategic Choices
  • Simplify and optimize a highly complex SKU and subcategory landscape
  • Make bold, data-driven decisions on portfolio prioritization, brand roles, and product rationalization
  • Evaluate and recommend structural changes, including manufacturing footprint where needed
  • 5. Build a Winning Omnichannel & E-commerce Strategy
  • Lead the transition of the category toward digital and e-commerce leadership
  • Develop integrated online and offline strategies that win with key retailers and platforms globally
  • Create scalable solutions to drive category growth in digital environments
  • 6. Unlock Global Synergies
  • Break down silos and build a “One Global Aquatics” operating model
  • Leverage best practices across regions, particularly transferring European strengths to accelerate U.S. performance
  • Define the right strategy for Japan—either unlocking growth or redesigning the operating model for sustainability
  • 7. Deliver Financial Performance
  • Own full P&L accountability for the global Aquatics business
  • Drive disciplined execution to deliver profitable growth and strong returns
  • Balance short-term performance with long-term category building

Requirements

  • Proven P&L leadership in a global, multi-brand consumer goods environment
  • Track record of turnaround and transformation, including reversing declining businesses
  • Deep experience in brand building, innovation, and consumer-centric growth
  • Strong exposure to e-commerce and omnichannel strategy
  • Experience operating across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Strong analytical and insight-driven mindset
  • Ability to simplify complexity and focus on what matters most
  • Commercial acumen combined with consumer empathy
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders

Preferred

  • CPG experience is preferred
  • Experience leading global multi-brand portfolios in consumer goods
