Assemblywoman Rodriguez is seeking a Field Representative to join her

District Office. The ideal candidate will have a familiarity with issues impacting
the 53rd Assembly District and the Assemblywoman’s legislative priorities.

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Staff and District Director, the
primary responsibilities will include serving as a liaison between the

Assemblywoman and constituents, district organizations, local governments,

and state agencies.

The Field Representative will be responsible for representing the

Assemblymember in the community, preparing and staffing the
Assemblywoman for district events and meetings, assisting with social media,

event planning, constituent casework, drafting talking points, developing and
maintaining relationships with city and county officials, organizations and local

leaders, and assisting with constituent correspondences.

The ideal candidate should be proactive self-starters who possess the ability
to build relationships with local organizations, leaders and residents. They also

work well in a fast-paced environment, both independently and
collaboratively. The ideal candidate is required to have excellent

communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple concurrent
projects. Previous experience in government, policy, advocacy, or nonprofit

work is desired, but not required. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Candidates must have a reliable source of transportation to attend in-person
meetings and events, the ability to assist with setting up tables, the office

canopy, and other equipment for events, and be able to work a flexible
schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

The salary range for this position is $5,417 - $8,159 per month. It is

anticipated that the position will be filled at the start of the range unless the
candidate has significant legislative experience.
