Assemblymember Bennett is seeking a Field Representative for his District
Office. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with 38th Assembly District

issues, the Assemblymember’s legislative priorities, an understanding of the

legislature and local government, strong oral and written communication
skills, the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, the ability to build

relationships with local organizations, elected officials, key community
stakeholders, policymakers and the general public. Under the direction of the

District Director, the Field Representative will be responsible for representing
the Member in the community, drafting talking points, making presentations

on behalf of the Member, and staffing the Member at community events. In
addition, will perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to,

responding to a variety of constituent services and inquiries, manage district
mail, sort bill comments, manage public comments, responding to telephone

calls; event planning and community outreach, constituent casework
management and drafting constituent response letters.

Candidates must have a reliable source of transportation to attend in-person

meetings and events, the ability to assist with setting up tables, the office

canopy, and other equipment for events, and be able to work a flexible
schedule, including evenings and weekends. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly

preferred.

The salary range for this position is $5,417 - $8,159 per month. It is
anticipated that the successful candidate’s salary will be closer to the start of

the range. Final compensation is commensurate with experience.
