Woodberry Associates seeks a fellow to join its growing team of dynamic public affairs professionals. Based in Washington, DC, Woodberry Associates specializes in coalition management and stakeholder engagement, primarily in the field of health policy. Our team is creative, collaborative and committed to exceeding our clients’ expectations.

The Woodberry Fellowship is is a 12-month, full-time in-person program for recent college graduates who are interested in a career in policy, advocacy, communications or nonprofit management.

Fellows join the team as valued contributors through this paid, immersive experience. The Woodberry Fellowship offers mentorship from experienced professionals and exposure to a broad range of clients in an agency setting. The result? Thoughtful, capable professionals who are ready to launch a career in public affairs.

The Fellow Experience

Fellows integrate themselves into Woodberry’s team by:

• Researching policy issues, legislative activity and stakeholder landscapes
• Preparing concise briefs, memos and written materials
• Supporting client meetings, events and strategic planning
• Monitoring media and emerging trends that shape the policy environment

• Recent graduates (Class of 2024–2026)
• Strong writers and critical thinkers
• Curious, proactive problem solvers
• Individuals passionate about policy,
• communications or nonprofit management

Salary & Benefits

This is a 12-month, full-time, in-person position based in Washington, DC with a competitive salary, health insurance, 401(k) and an unlimited PTO policy. Candidates must be willing and able to be in person in downtown Washington, DC Monday through Thursday. Salary range: $50,000-$60,000.
