Job Summary
Own a hands-on coaching role that blends field sessions with office-backed marketing, events, and community ops to build a positive environment for kids and families.
- Coaching & Session Leadership: Lead fun soccer sessions and provide leadership during activities.
- Office & Events Support: Back marketing, operations, and event coordination to reinforce program delivery.
- Community Engagement & Growth: Support community events and marketing initiatives to boost visibility and partnerships.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Coaching on the field to lead fun, engaging soccer sessions
- Supporting marketing efforts, business operations, and community events
- Assist in office tasks and events to gain experience behind the scenes
- Contribute to marketing initiatives in the office and at events
- Provide leadership during sessions and help create a positive environment for children and families
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior soccer experience is not required
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle that is insured
- Transportation Requirement: Reliable transportation is required. Interns must be able to commute to the Burtonsville MD office and travel to coaching sites 30–45 minutes away
- Must be able to pass a background check
- FALL Internship Dates: August 17 - December 4, 2026
- Hours: 30+ hours per week
- Must be able to work on weekends
- This internship is primarily a coaching role, leading fun, engaging soccer sessions while supporting community events, business operations, and marketing initiatives in the office
Preferred

Soccer Shots is a national program teaching children ages 2-8 the beautiful game of soccer. One of our trademarks is the developmentally appropriate curriculum we use that emphasizes creative play, enjoyment of sport, and character building lessons. Our sessions range from 30-40 minutes in length, and our coaches are energetic and enthusiastic individuals who love working with kids of all ages.
