Job Summary

Drive marketing and communications leadership across the college to grow brand, partnerships, and revenue while aligning strategy with university standards.

  • Own the development and execution of brand, marketing, and communications plans for the college and its units.
  • Must-have: Eight years of related marketing/communications experience with at least five in a supervisory role.
  • Standout: Leadership of cross-unit partnerships and revenue-generating campaigns with KPI ownership.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and facilitates partnerships and alliances to further the branding and awareness of the college and its programs and research
  • Coordinates the relationships between partners and units within the college
  • Develops partnership strategy and effective implementation in the college
  • Provides comprehensive marketing and communications services including developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, communications, creative, sales, promotions, and events for assigned division, department, college, and/or unit
  • Provides internal communications support for the assigned area(s)
  • Complies with branding standards, communication guidelines, and university policies and procedures for marketing and events
  • Coordinates activities in collaboration with web design, graphics, events, and communication
  • Provides leadership and supervision for the assigned staff
  • Establishes and assesses recruitment, marketing and/or sales goals and revenue generation, as appropriate
  • Leads marketing strategy, campaign execution and analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
  • Eight (8) years of related work experience in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or related field including at least five (5) in a managerial or supervisory role

Preferred

  • MBA preferred
  • Previous experience in higher education
  • Able to serve on university marketing committees as assigned
  • Able to foster a collaborative environment and work in a collegial fashion with peers
  • Able to plan, develop, direct, implement and evaluate strategic marketing plans, programs and activities applicable to professional education
  • Engages in on-going benchmarking of best practices to ensure strong, state-of-the art services and programs
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of management principles and practices
