Job Summary

Community presence and events ownership in Delray Beach, shaping school PR through relationships, content, and partnerships for engagement with families, students, staff and the community.

  • Community presence and events ownership: build relationships, plan faculty events, promote partnerships.
  • Content and social media: design posts, calendars, and engage audiences across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Public relations and partnerships: coordinate development activities and PR efforts to boost school visibility.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Is the vision-maker and developer of creating a community presence in Delray Beach
  • Creates and cultivates relationships in the community
  • Coordinates and promotes community events
  • Assists in development activities and p romotes strategic partnerships
  • Actively seeks to build culture and create a sense of excitement through in-house events, traditions, etc. that help promote DSA pride among all stakeholders
  • Attends and plans faculty events
  • Designs and posts engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram platforms
  • Develops a social media calendar and executes social media campaigns to promote the school and increase engagement with families, students, staff and the community
  • Creates/produces photo montages and short videos for social media platforms to engage and inform students, families, staff, and the community
  • Monitors social media messaging and responds accordingly

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Prior experience in community engagement highly preferred
  • Communicates effectively (orally and in writing)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energetic, takes initiative
  • Independent worker, self-motivated
  • Exemplary Christian role model who lets his or her “light shine” when interacting with the DSA Family and the community
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to see and hear and speak frequently
  • Ability to use repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding
  • Ability to occasionally handle average weight objects up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to walk in the facility and set-up for events
