Job Summary

Own end-to-end events coordination for RDDC, including large events, sponsorships, permits, volunteers, vendors, and on-site logistics, while supporting marketing, newsletters, and grant submissions.

  • Oversee logistics for RDDC programs and communications
  • Support grant submissions and marketing activities

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage RDDC’s outdoor public events
  • Oversee external contract for larger events
  • Manage all RDDC-produced events, including securing all event sponsorships, partners, permits, volunteers, vendors (e.g., food trucks), and all on-site event management
  • Assist in submission of associated grant applications
  • Manage RDDC’s Pop-Up Toolkit equipment which assists other entities seeking to hold downtown events open to the public
  • Manage logistics for RDDC’s Economic Growth Series business luncheons
  • Coordinate with event locations, including event contracts, room layouts, menu selections, table assignments, and A/V needs
  • Manage and coordinate event reservations, payments, name badges, table signs, and event signage
  • Administer programs and installations that make downtown public spaces more welcoming and appealing (e.g., seasonal holiday decorations, plantings, summer furniture)
  • Provide marketing assistance

Requirements

  • Events planning and execution (previous experience required)
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills required
  • B.A. degree in a related field required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, Canva, Constant Contact, and social media platforms
  • Ability to work in a team-centered environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, innovative problem-solver, and capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds in order to work at event sites (e.g., loading, unloading, set-up, tear-down)

Benefits

  • The salary for this position ranges from $62,500-$66,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
