Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own Walmart-facing communications, presentations, and narrative development—ensuring materials are concise, on-strategy, and audience-ready.
  • Provide day-to-day communications partnership to the Walmart Customer Team Leader and Chief of Staff, anticipating needs and keeping priorities moving in a fast-paced customer environment.
  • Lead strategy and execution of executive communications for the Walmart Customer Team Leader, including LinkedIn content, select speaking opportunities, and communications tied to community impact and board engagement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Supply, HR) to align messaging, approvals, and timing across the Walmart business.
  • Build and manage relationships with Walmart’s Communications team to strengthen collaboration, alignment, and shared outcomes.
  • Plan and manage key meetings, moments, and events with Walmart—overseeing end-to-end project plans, timelines, speaker support, run-of-show, and follow-ups.
  • Serve as communications counsel on P&G and brand activations with Walmart, maximizing impact while proactively identifying and mitigating reputation risk.
  • Support issues readiness by monitoring emerging topics, preparing leadership Q&A and talking points, and aligning with internal partners on response approaches as needed.
  • Coordinate with P&G Corporate Communications as needed to ensure consistent messaging, fuel learning and leverage best practices across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, and/or employee communications.
  • Superb writing skills, including speechwriting. Candidates should be prepared to share a portfolio of writing samples.
  • Demonstrated experience in communications strategy and planning, narrative creation, storytelling, presentation/content development, event management, media relations, organization engagement and social media.
  • Digital and social media platforms proficiency (LinkedIn). Skilled in visual communication.
  • Role resides in Fayetteville, AR. Willingness to travel occasionally.

  • Executive communications, issues management and retail experience a strong plus
