Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for creating and championing communications plans that will generate global buzz with media and consumers, help drive sales and inform broader plans. On any given day you might:
  • - Help execute global integrated communications plans for major franchise initiatives and global campaigns that deliver on business goals and help drive buzz and coverage
  • - Research and report out media trends and update press databases
  • - Draft, review & proof press materials including press releases, pitches, and media alerts
  • - Provide overall support for a variety of DCP Communications goals and objectives
  • - Act as a Brand Ambassador and embody the Disney culture and values in all aspects of your work

Requirements

  • Previous reporting/writing/editing experience with a student or professional publication in print, television, or online media
  • Proficiency with Associated Press writing style
  • Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information
  • Strong proficiency in developing Keynote decks and content
  • Ability to adapt, manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment, and build strong working relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills crucial to effective interaction with all levels of the organization including senior-level executives and their assistants

Preferred

  • Previous experience in journalism, writing, media relations, or with a PR agency
  • Experience identifying problems and developing creative solutions
