Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee communications strategies aligned with organizational priorities
  • Shape messaging frameworks and narrative positioning across multiple audiences
  • Produce executive briefings, talking points, strategic messaging documents, and communications guidance
  • Ensure message consistency across media, digital, social, and public-facing communications
  • Track breaking news, cultural conversations, public sentiment, and emerging media trends
  • Analyze how stories evolve across traditional media, digital platforms, and social channels
  • Identify communications opportunities, reputational risks, and developing trends
  • Deliver actionable insights that inform communications and leadership decisions
  • Lead editorial direction across written, visual, video, and digital content
  • Refine story framing, headlines, messaging architecture, and audience engagement strategies

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic communications, journalism, media operations, public affairs, political communications, or related fields
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
  • Strong understanding of media ecosystems, audience behavior, and digital communication trends
  • Experience operating in fast-paced news, communications, or public affairs environments
  • Demonstrated success leading communications or editorial teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information quickly
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and decision-making ability under pressure
  • Experience with media monitoring, social listening, audience analytics, or communications intelligence tools preferred
