Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive the roadmap, strategy and execution of how we onboard, engage, upsell and retain subscribers
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of marketers to bring winning campaigns to life
  • Introduce new subscriber acquisition and retention programs, including new subscriber benefits and perks, loyalty and referral programs, and external partnerships
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging trends, channels and solutions that can enhance our subscription experience for customers; partner with colleagues in Marketing, Product and Editorial to bring impactful ideas to life
  • Execute cross-channel go-to-market campaigns to support new products and features for subscribers
  • Define goals and KPIs to demonstrate impact to the subscriptions business
  • Develop regular reporting and play a key role in business reviews (QBRs/MBRs), annual plans and budgeting
  • Adapt, learn quickly and be inventive

Requirements

  • 8+ years of integrated marketing experience , subscriptions and/or news experience preferred
  • 2+ years of people management experience with both direct and indirect reports
  • Ability to work at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Passion for working in player/coach leadership model
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of omni-channel communication platforms and customer data & analytics platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Salesforce, ActionIQ, Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, Appsflyer
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Tight-knit collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer focus and naturally strong marketing instincts
  • Stay on-top of industry trends and best practices, ensuring the team is focused on the right opportunities.
