Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic counsel for clients responsible for designing and implementing successful PR & Social programs
  • Remain connected to media, influencers, industry players
  • Manage overall quality of the account teams’ work and deliverables
  • Financial responsibility for accounts includes budget tracking; forecasting; and account profitability
  • Manage client expectations, cultivate and strengthen relationships to create value beyond KPIs
  • In coordination with CMO, play a role in new business: participate in networking and prospecting; support or lead the development of proposals; participate in new business meetings as appropriate
  • Build and manage the appropriate strategies and collateral for client presentations
  • Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition and general issues facing the industry
  • Bring information, experience and industry intelligence to firm
  • Understand key competitors and their business strategies

Requirements

  • 12-15 years experience in PR or corporate communications (agency or client-side) OR Bachelor’s degree and approximately 10 - 12 years experience in PR or corporate communications (agency or client-side)
  • Experienced in working independently in a fully remote environment
  • Proven account leadership skills, with big picture understanding of how to connect the dots back to each client’s industry, subject matter and operations
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, while managing shifting priorities and delivering results for multiple clients and projects
  • Be an active listener and responsive to constructive feedback
  • Sophisticated writing skills with experience developing high-level PR strategies,op-eds and social posts (with an emphasis on LinkedIn)
  • Experience working across multiple industry sectors
  • Expert media relations skills, with preference given to experience in business and / or advertising media
  • Proven ability to retain and build client relationships, including managing through challenges
  • Experience in managing teams that generate results, and treat one another with care and respect
