Job Summary

Own the market thesis and messaging for Nextiva, grounded in real buyer insights, while shaping launches, enabling the sales force, tracking competitors, and building a high-performing product-marketing team.

  • Synthesize customer feedback from live deals and win/loss data to drive strategy.
  • Craft and test compelling value propositions and messaging against real sales conversations.
  • Prioritize launches, enable the sales team with practical narratives, and guide competitive strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the Market Thesis: Build and defend a clear view on why customers choose Nextiva, segment by segment. Who buys, what they pay for, and what tips the decision.
  • Get the Evidence Yourself: Talk to customers, sit in on live deals, and study win/loss up close. Your point of view comes from what buyers actually say, not from a positioning workshop.
  • Make the Story Stick: Own the messaging and value propositions for the portfolio. Write the hardest ones yourself, test them against real sales conversations, and sharpen them around what wins.
  • Pick the Launches That Matter: Tier launches honestly. A few get full investment and a real narrative. Most get a lighter touch. You make that call and you defend it.
  • Arm the Sales Floor: Give reps narratives and competitive material simple enough to use under pressure. Sales Enablement runs the training. You own whether the story works.
  • Know the Competition: Keep a current read on the three or four competitors that actually show up in our deals, and what to do when they do.
  • Build the Team: Lead a small team of product marketers, set the quality bar, and keep them pointed at the work that moves revenue.

Requirements

  • No traditional product marketing background required. We are deliberately open to people from product management, strategy, growth, sales, consulting, or running their own company.
  • B2B SaaS experience. Communications, CX, contact center, or AI background is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Real customer-facing experience, with answers you turned into a decision.
  • Comfort with numbers. You can size an opportunity, read win/loss data, and reason about the economics of a deal.
  • Technical fluency. You can get hands-on with the product, work directly with engineers and product managers, and use modern AI tools in your own work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. You make a complicated case simple. We will ask for a writing sample.

Benefits

  • Health: Multiple health plan options to suit your needs, including medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine coverage
  • Insurance: Life, disability, and supplemental indemnity plans
  • ️ Work-Life Balance: Flexible Time Off for salaried employees, PTO for hourly employees, Paid Sick Time, Paid Parental Bonding Leave, and holiday pay
  • Financial Security: 401(k) with company match, Health Savings Accounts with company contributions, Dependent Care FSA
  • ‍ Wellness: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and comprehensive wellness initiatives
  • Growth: Access to ongoing learning and development opportunities and career advancement
  • At Nextiva, we're committed to supporting our employees' health, well-being, and professional growth. Join us and build a rewarding career!
