Job Summary

Own donor development and cross functional marketing to hit annual philanthropic goals while building a data driven strategy and storytelling across channels for Family Services.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute Family Services' Annual Giving strategy for cultivating, stewarding, and growing relationships with individual (general to midlevel) donors monthly donors, and corporate partners.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive agency-wide marketing and communications strategy that advances program visibility, strengthens community partnerships, and supports fundraising and engagement initiatives.
  • Meet and exceed annual philanthropic revenue goals.
  • Report, evaluate, and analyze current philanthropic initiatives. Utilize data, best practices, and industry trends to inform future initiatives and strategy.
  • Help drive and infuse impact sharing and storytelling through out all philanthropic and marketing channels.
  • Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing strategic insight and leadership to advance the agency's mission, long-term growth, and organizational priorities.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Leader to manage and strengthen development operations, including accurate donor records, pledge tracking, gift acknowledgements, and contact management systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program leaders, finance, and administrative staff to align communications, community engagement, and fundraising efforts with agency goals and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications, or a related field; specialized training or certification in fundraising/philanthropy (e.g., CFRE) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive donor development and fundraising experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Previous fundraising, marketing, and communications experience preferred. 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, stewarding, and cultivating donor relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to influence and engage a wide range of volunteers and donors and build long-term relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are critical to success as well as the ability to impact both strategic and tactical fundraising efforts.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with reliable personal vehicle. Maintain required auto insurance and acceptable driving record requirements.

Preferred

  • Specialized training or certification in fundraising/philanthropy (e.g., CFRE) preferred.
  • Previous fundraising, marketing, and communications experience preferred. 3+ years of supervisory experience.
