Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy that aligns with company goals and brand identity.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization when needed.
• Advise executive leadership on media opportunities, risks, and best practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with key members of national, regional, and local media.
• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, talking points, and executive communications.
• Manage inbound media inquiries and coordinate timely, accurate responses.
• Secure earned media opportunities across TV, print, digital, radio, and podcasts.
• Lead external communication efforts during high-visibility or time-sensitive events.
• Develop crisis response messaging and protocols in partnership with Legal, HR, and Executive teams.
• Monitor brand sentiment, public perception, and emerging issues.

Requirements

• 7- 10+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, external communications, or related fields.
• Experience within high-growth, consumer-focused, or brand-driven organizations.
• Prior leadership or team management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven track record securing national and regional media coverage.
• Strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and influencers.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messaging.
• Experience developing crisis communication strategies.
• Confident public speaker with the ability to represent the brand effectively.
