Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead Steamboat’s overall brand stewardship, ensuring clear competitive differentiation and adherence to the brand strategy and playbook.
  • Deliver top‑line revenue and resort visitation targets across destination, international, regional, and local markets.
  • Shape enterprise‑level brand and marketing strategy, integrating insights across guest segments, business units, and competitive trends.
  • Guide national advertising strategy, including creative direction, portfolio planning, and performance evaluation across channels.
  • Develop multi‑segment, insight‑driven marketing strategies leveraging diverse audience profiles and market data.
  • Serve as a key member of the Leadership Team, contributing to business performance reporting, strategic planning, and guest‑trend analysis.
  • Lead product and yield strategy in partnership with Alterra Mountain Company, influencing development and cross‑resort marketing initiatives.
  • Direct Steamboat’s research and insights function, including market research, product and audience development, and analysis of new opportunities.
  • Oversee Local Marketing District strategy and represent the resort in district planning and campaign direction.
  • Lead and develop a 16‑member team across advertising, events, website, CRM, analytics, content, media, and product marketing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a leadership role required
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams
  • Demonstrated success managing large, multi-channel marketing budgets
  • Experience developing and executing enterprise-level marketing and brand strategies
  • Strong background in digital marketing (SEM, CRM, content, paid media, website management)
  • Experience with marketing analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve visitation or demand targets
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with senior leadership and business units
  • Strong understanding of brand management and maintaining consistency across channels
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in the ski or outdoor industry preferred
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
