Job Summary

Own the organization’s marketing, external and internal communications, and training communications programs, driving brand consistency, community outreach, and growth initiatives across multiple sites.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing, Brand & Community Awareness - Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that strengthens brand recognition, expands community awareness, and supports organizational goals across existing and future PACE sites. - Build and maintain brand standards, messaging frameworks, and visual identity guidelines across all channels and materials. - Oversee the creation of marketing collateral including brochures, digital content, social media, signage, and community outreach materials. - Cultivate relationships with community partners to expand awareness of San Diego PACE and reinforce its mission and value in the community. - Manage digital presence including website content, social media strategy, and email communications. - Track marketing and communications performance metrics and adjust strategies to strengthen visibility, engagement, and brand recognition.
  • Communications – External - Serve as a steward of the organization’s public reputation, ensuring consistent, mission-aligned messaging across all external touchpoints. - Draft, edit, and oversee production of press releases, newsletters, annual reports, and community-facing publications. - Manage media relationships and serve as a resource for public-facing communications in partnership with executive leadership. - Support participant and family communications in coordination with clinical and operations teams. - Ensure all marketing and outreach materials meet CMS compliance standards, including required disclosures, accessibility requirements, and guidelines governing communications with Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
  • Communications – Internal - Lead the strategy for how San Diego PACE communicates with its staff – ensuring messages are timely, clear, and appropriate for diverse audiences across multiple sites and roles. - Translate complex organizational information (policy updates, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes) into communications that staff can understand and act on. - Develop and maintain a cadence of internal communications including all-staff announcements, leadership updates, and site-level messaging. - Partner with HR and operations to align internal communications with culture, engagement, and retention goals.
  • Training Department Oversight - Champion a communications-forward approach to training – one that prioritizes clarity, accessibility, and connection over compliance-only delivery. - Integrate training communications into broader internal communications strategy so staff experience is consistent, reinforcing messaging. - Provide leadership and direction to the Training Manager and Training department, in concert with the IT, supporting their goals and removing obstacles to success. - Collaborate with the Training Manager to ensure training materials reflect brand standards and are written in language appropriate for all staff literacy levels.
  • Additional Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties as assigned or as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or combined role.
  • Proven track record developing and executing marketing strategies, including brand management, digital marketing, and community outreach.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or combined role.
  • Experience in healthcare, senior care, home health, or a related field, with knowledge of PACE, managed care, or Medicaid/Medicare populations.
  • Familiarity with marketing to underserved or diverse communities.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, new site launches, or market expansion through strategic marketing, communications, and community awareness efforts.
  • Background in internal communications, employee engagement, or organizational development.

Preferred

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or combined role.
  • Experience in healthcare, senior care, home health, or a related field, with knowledge of PACE, managed care, or Medicaid/Medicare populations.
  • Familiarity with marketing to underserved or diverse communities.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, new site launches, or market expansion through strategic marketing, communications, and community awareness efforts.
  • Background in internal communications, employee engagement, or organizational development.
  • Agile, Lean Six Sigma or other project management related certification
