Responsibilities

• Assist the Vice President of Business Development in developing the annual marketing plan and translate approved priorities into clear campaigns, timelines, and assignments.
• Supervise, support, and develop the Marketing Assistant; assign priorities, review work, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Collaborate with producers, account managers, carrier partners, and agency leadership to identify marketing needs and support business development initiatives.
• Track marketing activity and performance, prepare regular reports, and provide recommendations to the Vice President of Business Development.
• Coordinate marketing expenses, vendors, sponsorships, and resources within the budget and priorities approved by the Vice President of Business Development and executive leadership.
• Maintain brand consistency and a professional agency presence across digital, print, social media, events, advertising, and community outreach.
• Review marketing materials and campaigns for accuracy, quality, and alignment with agency standards before submitting major initiatives for final approval.
• Represent the agency at selected community, networking, carrier, and client events and coordinate the agency's participation and promotional materials.
• Develop clear, client-friendly content that communicates the agency's services, coverage expertise, carrier relationships, and value to clients and prospects.
• Execute marketing campaigns that support new business growth, client education, retention, and cross-selling across personal and commercial lines.

Requirements

• 5 years of marketing experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Directly supervised or managed another marketing employee (e.g., a Marketing Assistant or Coordinator)
• This position is based in Moncks Corner, SC.

Preferred

• Experience working in the insurance industry, financial services, or another regulated/relationship-driven industry (helpful)
