Job Description

Drive Fort Wayne Zoo marketing and communications to grow audience, attendance, and revenue across paid, earned, social, and owned channels.

  • Oversee a team and annual plan/budget to meet marketing goals across channels.
  • Lead audience acquisition and membership revenue growth in collaboration with budget-holding teams.
  • Market events, promotions, and programs while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Manage relationships with agencies of record for brand, ads, and content needs.
  • Represent the zoo in public relations and act as a spokesperson when needed.
  • Cultivate media training, talking points, and speaking engagements for zoo staff.
  • Create and refine internal and external communications materials and print/electronic media.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and marketing laws (SPAM, GDPR).
  • Participate in Senior Leadership Team and support DEIB principles in leadership.
  • Provide supervision and staffing support in partnership with People Services.
