Job Summary

Drive Marketing, Communications & Experience initiatives for a nonprofit advancement team, overseeing branding, storytelling, events, donor communications, and board relations.

  • Own marketing, communications, PR, and donor-facing materials to strengthen brand and engagement.
  • Must-have: 4+ years in marketing, event planning, or communications.
  • Standout: Experience planning fundraising events from conception to execution with budget management.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee marketing and communication activities
  • Oversee PR and Media Activities
  • Prepare the BGCGTC staff appointed as spokespersons with appropriate materials and information
  • Utilize donor database management, including but not limited to data entry and report creation, analysis, and editing as needed to respond to departmental and organizational needs
  • Support Board Communication
  • Activation of Marketing Strategies
  • Enhance branding Guidelines throughout the organization to align with a strong brand presence
  • Storytelling to increase our overall Brand awareness
  • Design event campaign materials
  • Design flyers and communication materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience
  • 4+ years of experience with marketing, event planning and/or communications
  • Ability to work regular business hours; including some evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to lead and motivate the work of a group of individuals including volunteers and professionals in fundraising activities that produce sustained and improved results over time
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in groups
  • Organizational aptitude to tackle multiple, wide-ranging tasks at once, while utilizing skills of time and task management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive
  • Ability to set and meet goals in a timely fashion through self-sufficiency
  • Experience performing data entry and working knowledge of databases
  • Must be able to pass agency background screens and drug screens at any time
  • Must have reliable transportation, liability insurance, satisfactory driving record, and a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties

Preferred

  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Experience with fundraising programs
  • Experience with volunteer programs
  • Work experience with or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club) is an advantage
  • Experience in a non-profit environment
