Job Summary

Own broker network leadership and growth initiatives in Southern California, turning broker relations, onboarding, community referrals, and market intelligence into enrollment gains.

  • Growth ownership: Manage broker and FMO relationships, enrollment support, and co-marketing outreach with education as the primary lever.
  • Pipeline and onboarding: Identify net-new brokers with MA book of business, recruit providers, and coordinate onboarding and forecasting.
  • Partnerships and impact: Surface provider issues, work with MSO teams, translate Stars/HEDIS into broker and community value narratives, and report monthly performance to leadership.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of broker and FMO relationships, serving as their primary point of contact for enrollment support, education, and co-marketing
  • Coordinate with health plan partner liaisons (SCAN, Alignment, etc.) on growth initiatives, directory accuracy, and IPA visibility
  • Identify and onboard net-new broker relationships with demonstrated Medicare Advantage book of business in target geographies
  • Build and maintain community referral pipelines through senior centers, CBOs, faith organizations, pharmacies, and ancillary providers
  • Own and update the growth dashboard — tracking membership trends, broker attribution, geo-penetration, and churn on a regular cadence
  • Surface provider-side issues identified through broker and plan relationships and facilitate resolution through MSO operational and clinical teams
  • Identify and recruit prospective providers to join the network, coordinating with operations to support onboarding and credentialing
  • Represent Akido at broker events, community health fairs, enrollment events, and culturally-targeted outreach programs across SoCal
  • Collaborate with quality and clinical teams to translate Stars and HEDIS performance into broker- and community-facing value narratives
  • Support payer contracting leadership with market intelligence, competitive analysis, and enrollment projections
  • Present monthly growth performance to senior leadership with variance analysis and forward-looking recommendations
Requirements
  • 7+ years in healthcare business development, IPA/MSO growth, health plan sales, or broker relations (preferred)
  • 3+ years in a director or senior manager capacity (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with CRM tools, enrollment reporting, or health plan portals
  • Proven track record building and managing a business development pipeline with measurable enrollment outcomes
  • Ability to build and own growth pipeline models and enrollment forecasts
  • Comfortable working across MSO, medical group, finance, and payer contracting teams
Preferred
  • 3+ years in a director or senior manager capacity (preferred)
  • Deep familiarity with the Southern California Medicare Advantage landscape (preferred)
  • Established relationships with SoCal brokers, FMOs, or health plan partner teams (preferred)
  • Fluency in MA mechanics — product structures, broker compensation, CMS enrollment rules, and network adequacy standards (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred; additional SoCal community languages a plus
  • MBA or MHA preferred
