Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Strategic Foresight
  • - Serve as strategic thought partner to US and Global Paxlovid commercial teams, framing and answering priority business questions related to market dynamics, patient/HCP behavior, and investment decisions.
  • - Design and lead primary market research (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods) to build a deep understanding of the current antiviral/acute-care treatment landscape, and translate business priorities into decision-led learning agendas.
  • - Anticipate future market evolution — competitive entrants, treatment paradigm shifts, access dynamics — and translate implications into forward-looking strategic recommendations that prepare the brand for what's next.
  • - Lead end-to-end vendor selection and management (scope, contracting, quality oversight) and maintain a forward-looking vendor and technology ecosystem, including AI-enabled research workflows where appropriate and compliant.
  • Integrated Analytics & Insight Storytelling
  • - Connect research and secondary analytics together — sales, claims, patient/HCP data, media, and CRM — to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • - Lead identification of information needs and development of integrated research and data analysis plans that link insights directly to brand decisions.
  • - Build and maintain an in-house knowledge base so insights accumulate, are easily retrievable, and reduce duplication of effort across the brand team.
  • Commercial Execution Excellence & Performance Measurement

  • 8+ years of experience in market research, consulting, commercial/marketing analytics, or a related field (7+ years with an advanced degree).
  • Demonstrated experience leading both primary market research (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary data analytics for a major brand or therapeutic area (>$1B), ideally including acute-care, antiviral, or specialty pharma experience.
  • Proven ability to frame ambiguous business problems into testable hypotheses and learning plans that drive commercial decisions.
  • Track record developing and monitoring marketing/commercial KPIs and translating campaign performance data into optimization recommendations.
  • Working proficiency with the core analytics and reporting for ex – Tableau, Snowflake for Analytics, Dataiku, Claude (AI-assisted analysis and research workflows) etc. to navigate these platforms independently to pull, interpret, and synthesize data into insights.
  • Strong executive presence; proven track record as a trusted, indispensable thought partner to senior brand leaders, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex, multi-source data into clear, persuasive narratives and recommendations for senior leadership, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with outstanding listening skills and strong cross-functional stakeholder management.

Preferred

  • Experience in infectious disease, antiviral, or acute/urgent-care categories; familiarity with rapid-cycle market dynamics and access considerations.
  • Experience managing research vendors end-to-end (selection, contracting, performance oversight) with a focus on quality, speed, and value.
  • Experience building institutional knowledge systems that embed learning into ongoing analytics and strategy work.
