Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-channel strategy spanning SEO, content, email, social media, paid acquisition, and PR to drive qualified traffic to our website.
  • Own the content calendar: plan topics, brief freelance writers, edit and publish content, promote content off-site, and optimize existing pages for search performance.
  • Manage and grow our organic search presence—our primary traffic channel—through technical SEO, on-page optimization, and link-building initiatives.
  • Build and optimize email campaigns for our organic subscriber list, including newsletter strategy, segmentation, and automation workflows.
  • Plan and manage paid acquisition campaigns (Google Ads, social ads) within a defined budget, working with freelance specialists as needed.
  • Manage relationships with freelance resources (writers, designers, paid media specialists, PR consultants) to extend execution capacity.
  • Track, analyze, and report on channel performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tools. Use data to inform strategy and budget allocation.
  • Identify and test new growth channels and tactics; bring a bias toward experimentation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in digital marketing, with demonstrated knowledge of SEO and content strategy.
  • Hands-on experience managing at least 3 of the following channels: organic search, content marketing, email marketing, paid search/social, social media, PR.
  • Experience managing freelancers, contractors, or agencies.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and at least one SEO platform (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar).
  • Strong writing and editing skills—you can produce quality content yourself, not just manage others.
  • Comfort with data: you make decisions based on metrics, not gut feelings.
  • Self-directed work style; comfortable operating with minimal oversight in a small-company environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in our industry or an adjacent space.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for landing page and email template edits.
  • Experience with CRO (conversion rate optimization) and A/B testing.
