Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Growth Leadership & Commercial Ownership
  • Own the growth strategy and subscriber acquisition roadmap for BBC Select
  • Lead annual and quarterly planning aligned to ambitious subscriber and revenue targets
  • Hold accountability for acquisition performance, including sign-ups, CPA and marketing efficiency
  • Develop robust forecasting models and scenario planning to guide investment decisions
  • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across paid, partner and owned channels
  • Ensure marketing activity balances short-term performance with long-term brand and subscriber value
  • Syndicated Partner & Platform Strategy
  • Lead the overall marketing approach across syndicated partner platforms (e.g. Amazon, The Roku Channel), ensuring alignment between paid investment and organic merchandising opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the Partner Manager to maximise organic promotional opportunities and platform visibility
  • Continuously evaluate platform dynamics, identifying strategic opportunities to scale or optimise performance
  • Help shape the future operating model
  • Integrated Marketing Strategy
  • Define integrated campaign strategies across paid, partner and owned channels
  • Establish clear audience, positioning and messaging frameworks
  • Set the strategic direction for major campaigns and approve creative to ensure effectiveness and brand consistency
  • Define cross-functional campaign planning processes and interaction models
  • Translate performance insight into strategic pivots and optimisation plans
  • Partner with Lifecycle teams to ensure cohesive full-funnel planning, including in CRM
  • Own marketing strategy for new opportunities in brand, product, partnerships and beyond
  • Team Influence & Capability Building
  • Elevate marketing strategy capability within the team across D2C brands in our portfolio
  • Contribute to broader growth team planning and cross-brand learning
  • Influence senior stakeholders with clear, commercially grounded recommendations
  • Drive a culture of accountability, experimentation and continuous improvement
