Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leads the fund development and marketing strategic vision, drives necessary change, mitigates risks, and makes high-impact decisions to ensure long-term organizational success.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Fund Development and Marketing strategic plan, ensuring clear alignment with organizational revenue targets and diversification goals.
  • Builds strong, collaborative relationships across departments to align fundraising and marketing strategies with program, finance, and leadership priorities.
  • Demonstrates operational efficiency, relevant market trends, and project execution; demonstrates financial knowledge and appropriate management.
  • Builds knowledgeable and diverse teams through collaboration, emotional intelligence, and commitment to DEI principles while fostering growth and managing performance.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships, resolves conflicts, and negotiates agreements to balance organizational and stakeholder priorities.
  • Champions creative solutions, process optimization, and technology adoption to adapt to changing environments and drive improvement.
  • Develop and manage annual and long-term fund development and marketing strategies aligned with mission, program needs, revenue goals, and funding diversification priorities.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy by integrating donor cultivation into organizational activities and community engagement.
  • Identify emerging trends and community opportunities to refine fundraising strategies, campaigns, and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Non-Profit Management, Business, Communications).
  • 5+ years proven experience in non-profit fundraising and resource development leadership, with a record of successful results.
  • Experience in non-profit sector; working with Board of Directors and organizing/leading large events.
  • Proven success in grant writing and management processes.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, visual, and/or non-verbal).
  • Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies to communicate organizational purpose, values, and impact.
  • Ability to manage data systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge) to store/analyze data.
  • Strong financial management knowledge and budgeting.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities of a working director; strategic direction and day-to-day operations involvement.
  • Collaborative and inclusive; respect for diverse perspectives.
