Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of external communications programs that support business priorities, corporate reputation, and market awareness
  • Partner with business leaders, marketing, legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop messaging, communication plans, and media strategies for key initiatives
  • Write, edit, and review press releases, media materials, executive messaging, talking points, statements, and other external communications content
  • Manage proactive and reactive communications related to product announcements, business milestones, thought leadership, issues management, and industry events
  • Build and maintain media relations strategies that increase relevant coverage, support business objectives, and protect message consistency
  • Manage and develop a team, set priorities, provide coaching, and drive high-quality execution across communications deliverables
  • Establish communications goals, measurement approaches, and reporting to evaluate program performance and improve outcomes
  • Guide message governance, review processes, and stakeholder alignment to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned to the Fiserv brand voice

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in external communications, public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or a related field
  • Experience creating communication strategies, media plans, writing and editing press releases, media material and messaging for business initiatives in complex organizations
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to manage reputation, issues, and external visibility
  • Experience using measurable communication methods, including media performance analysis, engagement metrics, and reporting
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred

  • Experience in payments, financial services, fintech, or a regulated industry
  • Experience supporting executive visibility, thought leadership, or business-to-business communication programs
  • Experience with crisis communications, issues management, or communications in a publicly visible environment
  • Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
