Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Direct the execution of integrated membership and annual giving campaigns that drive donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrades across direct mail, email, digital and emerging channels.
  • Develop, in partnership with direct response agencies and the annual giving team, a cohesive, donor‑centric omni‑channel strategy that communicates the Trust’s mission consistently and effectively across all touchpoints.
  • Create and oversee compelling mass‑market fundraising content, sourcing and repurposing stories from across the organization to motivate broad‑based donors.
  • Manage direct‑response agency partners, ensuring strategies are mission‑aligned, cost‑effective, and optimized for long‑term donor value and retention.
  • Set annual and multi‑year goals for donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades, defining KPIs and reporting regularly on performance, insights, and opportunities.
  • Direct segmentation strategies, campaign calendars, and creative development, reviewing and approving final assets to ensure accuracy, quality, and brand alignment.
  • Partner to design and test upgrade pathways that move Annual Fund donors into the midlevel program ($1,000+), including prospect identification and targeted messaging.
  • Coordinate closely with Donor Services to ensure accurate campaign coding, tracking, and reporting, maintaining data integrity and reliable revenue attribution across all channels.
  • Lead complex project workflows involving multiple internal teams and external vendors, ensuring campaigns launch on time, on budget, and with high operational and creative quality.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives that strengthen the Annual Fund and advance organization‑wide fundraising priorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in direct‑response fundraising, mass‑market fundraising, or content‑driven marketing. Must have experience with both online and offline direct marketing.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to develop engaging donor‑facing content from diverse sources.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in content, data, and campaign execution.
  • Experience managing external vendors or agencies, with an understanding of production workflows and performance management.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder campaigns, balance competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including issue identification and prioritization.
  • Familiarity with CRM and eCRM platforms; RevolutionCRM and Engaging Networks experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a hybrid, matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Avoids vague filler; prefers concrete tasks and requirements in execution and collaboration.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred.
  • RevolutionCRM and Engaging Networks experience preferred.
