Job Summary

Own major gifts and corporate giving initiatives that build strategic sponsorships and donor partnerships while driving grant-funded revenue.

  • Own the major gifts and corporate partnership program, from strategy through stewardship, targeting five- and six-figure donors and sponsors.
  • Lead grant research, writing, and reporting for foundations and government funders, and manage a growing donor portfolio.
  • Represent UCC at events to expand the network and track pipeline and outcomes for leadership reviews.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts and corporate giving strategy aligned with UCC's mission and growth trajectory.
  • \n
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with corporate partners, building long-term strategic alliances and sponsorships.
  • \n
  • Identify and qualify prospective major donors and corporate partners at five- and six-figure giving levels.
  • \n
  • Lead grant research, writing, and reporting for foundation and government funding opportunities.
  • \n
  • Manage a portfolio of active prospects with a focus on relationship cultivation, solicitation, and retention.
  • \n
  • Develop compelling proposals, sponsorship packages, and funding requests tailored to corporate and foundation audiences.
  • \n
  • Track and report development metrics, pipeline growth, and fundraising outcomes to the Executive Director.
  • \n
  • Represent UCC at community, corporate, and philanthropic events to expand the agency's network and visibility.

\n\nRequirements\n\n
    \n
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • \n
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive nonprofit development experience, including demonstrated major gifts success
  • \n
  • Proven experience building and managing corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
  • \n
  • Strong grant writing and strategic grant research experience with a track record of secured funding.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling cases for support.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and think strategically about long-term revenue sustainability.
  • \n
\n\nPreferred\n\n
    \n
  • Experience in community action agencies, human services, or community development organizations.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with CRM/donor database systems.
  • \n
  • Existing relationships with Northeast/NJ regional foundations or corporate funders.
