Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead all launch and subsequent external and internal product communication strategies for the U.S. dermatology portfolio in a critical, highly competitive market.
  • Develop and execute milestone‑specific product communication plans, including message development, congress communications, media relations strategy, and digital/social tactics.
  • Partner closely with the U.S. Business Unit, U.S. Dermatology Franchise, Patient Advocacy, Global Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations, and Global Communications teams to ensure consistent dermatology narratives and communication strategies.
  • Anticipate and prepare for potential product‑related issues; direct U.S. issues and crisis management for the dermatology franchise.
  • Play an integral leadership role on the U.S. Dermatology Franchise Team, representing the product communications function and providing strategy and counsel for commercial and other functional leaders.
  • Develop U.S. disease awareness programs, including coordination around World Psoriasis Day.
  • Advise on communications strategies for major U.S. congresses and psoriasis medical meetings where data may be presented, liaising with R&D, Medical Communications, and Investor Relations teams as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with relevant divisional employee communication teams to deliver impactful internal communications relating to program advances and major brand and/or pipeline milestones.
  • Manage public relations agency partners and oversee the U.S. dermatology communications budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health communications–related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a pharma/biotech company and/or healthcare communications agency with a comprehensive understanding of the biopharma industry
  • At least 5 years of experience in product and/or pipeline communications, preferably in psoriasis, dermatology, and/or inflammation
  • Extensive product launch experience in high‑visibility, high‑stakes programs
  • Travel may be required (10%)

Preferred

  • US/regional-level communications experience preferred, with a proven track record delivering communications initiatives, programs, or events.
  • Experience in psoriasis, dermatology, and/or inflammation communications is a plus.
