Lead community engagement and external communication for a non-profit agency, coordinating outreach, partnerships, and literacy initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Promote organizational excellence by fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and accountability that values learning and a commitment to quality and impact.
  • Design and develop community engagement initiatives that increase awareness across the community and service area.
  • Oversee communication, marketing and advertising activities, outreach and event success, to ensure consistent messaging, strong community presence, measurable results, including effective implementation of literacy initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities, including engagement, outreach, and community efforts are coordinated, efficient and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the agency s community liaison for partnerships.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with the leadership team to support alignment and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • A bachelors degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited university/college.
  • Minimum five years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum five years of previous marketing and/or community outreach experience.
  • Task/Judgment  Design, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of processes. Limited involvement with task execution.
  • Independence/Expertise  Acquire expertise in Florida law and rules that govern programs managed.
  • Service/Initiative - Develop strategies for successful implementation of programs.
  • Supervision  Work independently and engage staff to work with limited supervision.
  • Agency Growth  Seek organizational growth opportunities and nurture community partnerships.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a non-profit or governmental organization.
