Job Summary

Own admissions marketing and communications to drive undergraduate enrollment, leading a team, shaping cross campus campaigns, and aligning brand across partners.

  • Marketing ownership: set strategy, brand integration, campaign development and content coordination across admissions and campus stakeholders.
  • Team and process leadership: supervise 2-3 direct reports and guide a larger team to on time, on budget execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing and communication strategies to meet university undergraduate enrollment goals.
  • Lead the Admissions Marketing and Communications team and implement strategies.
  • Responsibility for strategic collaboration, brand integration, campaign development/execution, content coordination and performance optimization across admissions and campus partners.
  • Manage budget and project development and completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of progressively responsible communications and marketing experience including at least two years in a strategic leadership capacity.
  • Two years of experience in direct supervision of full-time professional staff.
  • Experience communicating and influencing a variety of internal and external constituents.
  • Demonstrated experience and solid understanding of technology and software application such as: Google Analytics, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Content Management System (CMS), Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and reporting systems
  • Demonstrated experience executing multimedia communication and marketing plans supported by measurement and analytics.

Preferred

  • A master's degree in a relevant area such as marketing, communications, journalism or public relations.
  • Experience with lead generation and conversion marketing strategies and evaluation.
  • Experience in enrollment management and/or admissions in a marketing and communications capacity.
  • Experience creating strategies for various channels such as: social media, email, website, print, texting or lead generation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated through experience writing for the web, publications, marketing campaigns, and/or professional presentations.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, friendly, and customer service-oriented attitude.
  • A demonstrated alignment or understanding of CSU's land grant mission.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
